I don't know about you, but January felt like it was 87 days long! Thankfully, we've made it through, and February is here to remind us why winter in Saskatoon is worth celebrating.

With a packed calendar of events, there's something for everyone—from romantic date nights to family-friendly festivals. Let's dive into what February has in store!

Hearth x Remai Modern Drag Brunch

Every first Sunday of the month until April, Hearth Restaurant and Remai Modern team up for a fabulous Drag Brunch hosted by the one and only Iona Whipp and China White. Enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet, a welcome cocktail (or 0% alternative), and incredible drag performances. Pro tip: Bring cash to tip the performers, they deserve all the love!

Cheer on the Rush & Blades

February is hockey and lacrosse season, and SaskTel Centre will be buzzing with energy on these home games! The Saskatchewan Rush have a home game against the Rochester Knighthawks on February 15th. Grab a pal and head out for a fun Saturday evening. Go, Rush, Go! 
The Saskatoon Blades will also be playing this month. With six home games this month, including a Valentine's Day game on February 14th, it's the perfect date night or family outing.

2025 Nutrien WinterShines

From February 15–22, the 2025 Nutrien WinterShines takes over Saskatoon, inviting everyone to embrace winter's beauty and excitement. Expect ice sculptures, delicious food, a petting zoo, face painting, a fire-making workshop, and so much more! It is a perfect family-friendly event with so much to do! It's the winter festival that brings our community together to celebrate this magical season!

Hivernant Festival 2025

Celebrate Family Day in style at Batoche National Historic Site during the Hivernant Festival on February 15th. It's a day packed with free, fun sliding hills, snowshoeing, skating, hunting and trapping demonstrations, free bannock and soup to warm you up as well as a shuttle between Batoche National Historic and Festival sites. It's a perfect mix of history, culture, and outdoor winter fun!

Winter Wonderland Sleigh Rides at Champêtre County

Winter magic awaits at Champêtre County with sleigh rides on February 17th and 23rd. Enjoy a cozy sleigh ride through a picturesque winter setting, hot chocolate by the campfire, exploring the Lost Corral Maze and meeting adorable barn animals! Black History Month Music Showcase

Celebrate the richness of Black culture at the BPES Music Show this February. Featuring various music from Afrobeats, reggae, gospel, hip-hop, and more, this showcase highlights the incredible talent of local and regional artists. It's a night of unforgettable music and community spirit.
