Last-Minute Shoppers' Guide to Saskatoon Malls!
Whether grabbing gifts, finding the perfect outfit, or picking up essentials, last-minute shopping doesn't have to be a chaotic scramble. Saskatoon's malls are here to save the day! Here's how to make the most of your last-minute shopping spree at Saskatoon's best malls.
Market Mall: Hidden Gems Galore
Nestled in Saskatoon's southeast, Market Mall is the perfect spot for a quieter shopping experience. You'll find great shops like Underground Trends, a store offering vintage and pre-loved designer brands at retail prices. They also have staple stores like Cleo and Giant Tiger!
If you are looking for something fun while others shop, get a round of mini golf in on their 18-hole course in the center of the mall; score! Oh ya, one of the best parts is they also have FREE underground parking to help you keep warm!
Confederation Mall: Practical and Accessible
Confederation Mall is located on the west side, which is perfect for convenience and practicality. If you are like me and love Winners, Confederation Mall has a great (and HUGE) Winners for all your needs! There is also a Petland for all the pet lovers out there because we can't forget about our loved fur babies, which reminds me I still need to get something for our princess Poppy!
For those hosting Christmas, stock up on all your groceries at FreshCo, which is conveniently located at the mall and be sure to check out the newly opened Michaels for all your décor and fun festive needs!
The Centre: A One-Stop-Shop for Families
Located in Saskatoon's east end, The Centre Mall (formerly known as The Circle Mall) is a convenient choice for family-oriented shopping. Stores like Indigo, Sport Chek and Best Buy make checking off the kids' wish lists easy. With a house full of girls, they love going to Centre Mall to roam through the large Ardene's and Claire's.
If you are shopping for a jewelry lover, there are plenty of options in the mall like Charm or Hillberg and Berk, to grab some sparkling jewelry. For the gamers and nerds like me, be sure to pop into Gamer's Edge or Sunrise Records, and for the sweet tooth, stop by the Rocky Mountain Chocolate shop!
For those who aren't interested in shopping, stop by Cineplex and take in a movie. They always have the latest movies playing. Tip for those with kids: check out the Club House theatre which offers a park, colouring activities, as well as toys in the theatre for those who might need a break from the movie!
Midtown Mall: The Downtown Powerhouse
Midtown Mall is your ultimate destination if you're in the heart of the city. With big-name stores like Hudson's Bay, H&M, Lululemon and more, it's perfect for finding something for everyone on your list.
For the sports fans, grab a hat or toque from Lids, a jersey from Jersey City or some kicks from Foot Locker! Need a quick gift for the fashionista in your life? Pop into Sephora for beauty must-haves, or grab a gift card for Artitiza or Gap!
Be sure to pop into The Studio located in the mall. The Studio at Midtown is a gathering space to connect, create, and discover new experiences! It has different pop-up markets, local shops, and vendors set up throughout the holiday season!
Lawson Heights Mall: Your North-End Hero
Lawson Heights Mall has you covered for shoppers in the city's north end. With stores like Lee Valley, Twisted Goods, and Quarks, you can mix practicality with the thrill of treasure hunting. Find last-minute party supplies, fresh ingredients for holiday meals, or unexpected gift items all in one stop.
For those with littles, whoever isn't the shopper, take them to the indoor park and enjoy a coffee while your little one plays and the other one shops; it is a win-win!
Lawson Heights also offers a welcoming vibe, perfect for those looking to shop without the hustle and bustle of larger malls. Enjoy the laid-back atmosphere as you check off your list.
Accommodations
If you are coming to Saskatoon for some last-minute holiday shopping this weekend, here are some suggestions on places to stay!
Market Mall: I suggest staying in Stonebridge at Home Inn & Suites. It is a 5-minute drive from the mall and is a perfect place to stay with lots of restaurants and amenities around.
The Centre Mall: Best Western Plus East Side is across the street, so how perfect is that! You don't have to worry about parking in the chaos and can head back to your room if you need a break! Plus, if you have kids with you, they have a pool with a water slide for them to enjoy!
Lawson Mall: If you are planning to shop at Lawson Mall, there are some great hotels about 10 minutes from the mall. I suggest the Super 8 Hotel, Travelodge Hotel (especially with the kids), Sandman Hotel or Comfort Inn Saskatoon. All are great places to stay, depending on what you need!
Confederation Mall: For those who are planning to shop at Confederation Mall and shops on the west side of the city, Best Western Blairmore is a 5-minute drive from the Confederation area!
Midtown Mall: Downtown has some great options for you if you are planning on shopping at Midtown. The Holiday Inn Downtown and Hilton Garden Inn are both across the street from the mall. Like The Centre Mall, you don't have to worry about parking or driving! It is so convenient!

One last tip for you! If you are like me and don’t like the chaos of parking lots, the City of Saskatoon Transit runs the Jingle Express (Route 1225) on the weekends that travels to all 5 malls without any hassle! Regular fares are in effect, except for on Boxing Day when the route is Free!
I hope this helps you navigate the last few days to shop before the holidays! I also wanted to share our Locally Owned Business Guide and our Saskatoon Gift Guide for other options. Best of luck to all of us last-minute shoppers as we head out into the craziest week of shopping in the year!
