Your Guide to the Best Breweries in Saskatoon!
Ready to explore Saskatoon's vibrant craft beer scene? Let's dive into some of the city's finest local brews, featuring unique flavours and laid-back vibes, and peek into the craftsmanship that makes each brewery stand out. Here is a tour guide to 6 of Saskatoon's finest breweries you must try!
Stop 1- Churchill Brewery Co.
Churchill Brewing is one of Saskatoon's newest breweries, and I was thrilled to see it open after driving by it countless times. Naturally, we had to check it out right away. Both my husband and I ordered flights to sample the variety of beers. My favourite was the Sundog Belgian White, while my husband loved the Lawn Mower Yard Lager. We also grabbed a bite to eat—my Beef Dip and his Fish & Chips were both spot on! Churchill offers a chill atmosphere with plenty of space for larger groups, and they also serve other drink options, including non-alcoholic choices. It's located in Sutherland, about a 10–15-minute drive from downtown. Note: Churchill is a 19+ establishment.
Stop 2- Better Brother Brewing Co.
Better Brother Brewing, located in City Park, is one of my favourite spots for a relaxed Saturday afternoon or after-work drinks. It's family-friendly, offering games, colouring activities, and craft root beer floats for the kids. Their craft beer selection is fantastic! My favourites are the Blonde Ale and Saskatchewan Rattlers Lager—so good! They also have snacks like hot dogs, poutine, chips, and guac. Be sure to follow them on social media for happy hour deals! The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, making it a great spot to catch up with friends or hang out for a few hours.
Stop 3- Shelter Brewing Company
Shelter is a must-stop place in Saskatoon! A cozy nano brewery nestled in the heart of downtown Saskatoon. Known for its small-batch brews, Shelter is the perfect spot to enjoy a beer! Their taproom provides a warm atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy handcrafted beers. They also have a food menu with a food truck vibe to eat, the best tacos from Dylan & Cam's Tacos, and only $4! Their beers are also delicious! There are many beers on tap, my favourite being the West Coast IPA and the Brown Ale. Great, now I want tacos and beer! (Also, they are child-friendly until 8:00pm; our kids love having nachos, guacamole, and tacos!)
Stop 4- High Key Brewing Co.
Also located downtown, High Key has a bright, modern and spacious taproom that provides a perfect spot to enjoy a beer and pizza! With a variety of beers on tap, there is something for everyone! They also have a great food menu if you are hungry! I recommend the Johnny Kolsch or the High Light Lager. With an upbeat, friendly vibe, it is the perfect location to enjoy a flight of beer and visit with friends.
Stop 5- City Limits at Stumbletown Distillery
While Stumbletown is widely known for its artisanal spirits, City Limits offers an extensive craft beer selection in collaboration with the distillery. This stop perfectly blends the best of both worlds, beer and spirits, making it a must-visit for those who appreciate creative craft beverages. I highly recommend trying the Gateway Light Ale or the Drifter IPA! Their tap room is a perfect place to gather with friends, have a bite to eat and enjoy a pint or two!

Stop 6- Prairie Sun Brewery
Prairie Sun Brewery is located on trendy Broadway Avenue! Staying on brand with Broadway, the vibe of Prairie Sun is trendy and cool, and it has such a beautiful interior! With an extensive selection of beer, there is something for everyone! My favourites are Prairie Lily and Urban Wheat. Stop by to socialize in their front area with a drink or grab a table at the back and have a bite to eat (the macaroni salad is my favourite!)

Bonus- 9 Mile Legacy Brewing
Anyone who knows me knows I'm obsessed with The Ticket from 9 Mile! It is one of my favourite beers! 9 Mile doesn't have a tap room (stay posted because as soon as they reopen it, I will be there!), but they have a small storefront where you can grab beer and merch and say hi to the team! You can also find their beers on tap at many local restaurants. I recently went on a tour of 9 Mile and learned the story behind the name, which is so great! The two owners grew up on their family farms, and guess how far apart the farms are? You guessed it, 9 Miles! I love this. Speaking of tours, reach out and book one for yourself because it is super interesting, and I learned so much about brewing beer!
I hope this helps you discover our delicious beer scene in Saskatoon! Get out and enjoy some of these establishments and be sure to plan a safe ride while touring around!
