Remai Modern

Located in River Landing overlooking the South Saskatchewan River, the Remai Modern is a must-visit destination for art-lovers in Saskatoon. The museum is home to an expansive collection of over 8,000 works from Indigenous, Canadian, and international artists, including the world’s most comprehensive collection of Picasso linocuts.

It’s worth a visit for the building alone. Designed by architect Bruce Kuwabara, the space was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie style of architecture, with subtle nods to the wide-open spaces of the prairies and the barns, field sheds, and silos found there. Enjoy a mouthwatering meal from Heart Restaurant with a side of river views, or browse for that perfect memento at their Art & Design Store, and see for yourself why the Remai has won resounding acclaim from prestigious outlets like the New York Times.
