Denny Carr Jogging
This Hans Holtkamp-designed statue near University Bridge honours the life and legacy of Denny Carr, a well-known local radio host, community volunteer, and recipient of the Order of Canada. Before his untimely death from cancer at just 60 years of age, Carr was an avid runner who would often be seen logging his miles along the streets of Saskatoon.
A fixture in the downtown neighbourhood since 2000, the statue can often be found decorated or dressed in whimsical costumes, from sweaters and hats to elaborate Halloween costumes like Iron Man and Optimus Prime.
