Nutrien Fireworks Festival
The 3 sustainability-oriented actions that we're proud to have incorporated in our workplace are:
1. The Green Team - Garbage and Recycling
2. Shooting the fireworks from barges on the river to decrease the lay down area, set up and infrastructure requirements.
3. Hosting the event in downtown Saskatoon which is easily accessible to transit
The three actions that we intend to introduce in the next 12 months are:
1. Conduct a waste audit post event
2. Encourage food trucks and vendors to use recyclable packaging for food packaging
3. Reduce paper use - all surveys online
The three actions that we intend to introduce in the next 2-4 years are:
1. Compostable food containers
2. Becoming bottle water free
3. Prohibit smoking; implement butt-out zones at perimeter of event
