Sarah Hagen performs the Goldberg Variations

Pianist Sarah Hagen performs Bach’s formidable Goldberg Variations at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Saskatoon on Friday, April 5th at 7:30 pm.

Cherished by many, the Goldberg Variations are emblematic of keyboard virtuosity, rich expression, and hardcore classical interpretation. Sarah will offer a short introduction to this marvellous and intense composition before playing the full work.

A classical pianist with a wry wit, Sarah Hagen enjoys a rich and diverse concertising life as both soloist and humorist. Her extensive touring has taken her across Canada, to the United States, Sweden, Denmark, France, Germany and Italy, and twice to New York City’s Carnegie Hall.

Sarah’s 2021 recording of the Goldberg Variations was heralded by Whole Note Magazine as “something to absolutely die for” and won two 2022 Music PEI awards for Instrumental Recording of the Year and Album Art of the Year.
