From traditional celebrations to modern gatherings, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Here's a look at some of the cultural holiday events happening this year in Saskatoon!

Saskatoon is a city that shines with diversity and different cultural communities. I love getting the chance to learn about ways people celebrate! I wanted to create a list of other cultural events that I found. Please remember that these are just some of the events I saw; many more are happening around the city!

Ukrainian

A Christmas Yarmarok | Market

The Ukrainian handmade marketplace is back and bigger than ever! Happening at the Ukrainian Museum of Canada, over two floors, enjoy even more locally made goods and baking, lunch and coffee vendors, live music, Christmas carolers, a silent auction, door prizes, and so much more. Don't miss out! Visit their gift shop, see the exhibitions, and support Ukrainian culture! Admission is free and open to everyone.

Ghana Canadian Association Saskatoon Christmas Party

Indigenous Artisan Holiday Markets

Support local Indigenous talent this season with two opportunities this season: the Wanuskewin Indigenous Artisan Market and the Dakota Dunes Artisan Market!  Both will showcase beautiful, handcrafted items by Indigenous artisans. Perfect for finding unique gifts, the market highlights traditional and contemporary art, jewelry, and crafts, all while supporting Indigenous creators in Saskatoon. Wanuskewin will also have door prizes, dance and music presentations and a beaded flower ornament workshop!

Wanuskewin- Saturday & Sunday – December 14 & 15 – 10 am – 4 pm.

Celtic Christmas Breakfast

Kick off Christmas with a Celtic Christmas Breakfast at O'Shea's Irish Pub. Included with your ticket is entertainment, breakfast and one beverage. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, mushrooms, beans, and an English muffin. The beverages included are a mimosa, caesar, Irish coffee, domestic beer sleeve or bottle, coffee, juice, or pop. Bring some cash along for our fundraisers taking place at the breakfast! Enjoy music from the Saskatoon Pipes & Drums group!

Hanukkah Community Celebration

Celebrate the Festival of Lights with Saskatoon's Jewish community at the Hanukkah Community Celebration. The celebration features the lighting of the menorah, traditional Hanukkah foods, Hanukkah bingo with prizes, refreshments, a gift shop and book fair, and festive music!

Holiday Fiesta 2024

The Latino Canadian Cultural Association's Holiday Fiesta is a vibrant celebration of Latin American traditions. DJ Ervin will play salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba. Pizza will be for sale, and there will be a cash bar and dancing until 1:00 a.m.
