Urban Arts & Culture
Urban Arts and Culture will be infused throughout the YXE Urban Games, creating vibrant celebrations of artistic expression, urban creativity, and cultural diversity. Bringing together local artists, DJs, cultural partners and community to celebrate the city’s thriving art scene. Audiences will be invited to paint, graffiti, screenprint, play and dance alongside local artists throughout the weekend.
Audrey Armstrong, Tatawow-You Are Welcome Here.
When you enter the YXE Urban Games, you'll be greeted by an art installation by Audrey Armstrong: This painting not only welcomes, but also shows the interconnectedness of us as Indigenous people who have lived on the land since time immemorial.
MURALS
Watch mural artists create new works of art in the park throughout the weekend, featuring Josh Jacobsen, April Doepker and Ingrid Van Opstal-Tamez. Play and create on one of our community mural walls where everyone is an artist.

Visual and installation artists will remind us of the significance of hosting YXE Urban Games on Treaty 6 territory and the traditional homeland of the Métis!
