PAVED Arts

A non-profit, artist-run gallery and production centre, PAVED Arts works to advance knowledge and practices in photography, audio, video, electronic, and digital arts. Located in a reimagined residential space in the heart of Riversdale, their facility offers more than 3,000 square feet of gallery space, along with offices, production suites, a library, and a multipurpose event venue.

PAVED Arts was founded 2003, an amalgamation of The Photographers Gallery and Video Vérité; their work builds upon these organizations’ more than 40 years of history in the local arts community. They regularly offer free gallery exhibitions, public screenings, installations, and performances, as well as artist residencies and member-exclusive workshops.

Founded in 1975, the Saskatchewan Craft Council works to raise the profile of local artisans at all stages of their career, fostering a nurturing, diverse, and educational space for artistic development and creative expression. This independent collective of Saskatchewan ceramic artists offers individually thrown, hand built and decorated pieces, ranging from traditional works to contemporary creations. Managed, staffed, and stocked by local potters, Clay Studio Three showcases works from 16 local artisans.

It’s worth a visit for the window displays alone, which rotate bi-weekly to feature the work of an individual artist. Inside, you’ll find a curated selection of both functional and decorative items including dinnerware, raku pieces, and pit-fired vessels.
