Gallery & Artist Spotlight

A non-profit, artist-run gallery and production centre, PAVED Arts works to advance knowledge and practices in photography, audio, video, electronic, and digital arts. Located in a reimagined residential space in the heart of Riversdale, their facility offers more than 3,000 square feet of gallery space, along with offices, production suites, a library, and a multipurpose event venue.

PAVED Arts was founded 2003, an amalgamation of The Photographers Gallery and Video Vérité; their work builds upon these organizations’ more than 40 years of history in the local arts community. They regularly offer free gallery exhibitions, public screenings, installations, and performances, as well as artist residencies and member-exclusive workshops.

Explore a curated collection of furniture, art, home goods, accessories, interior design, murals — and even coffee! — in this inspiring gathering place and creative hub. From their central location in the Broadway neighbourhood, Alt Haus offers a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, inspired by art, travel, fashion, music, film, and the world around us.

Founded by interior-designer-and-mural-artist duo Miranda and Jo Van Young, the shop highlights unique pieces made by local makers and artists in a celebration of Saskatoon’s diverse arts community. Their inspiring Main Street storefront is filled with bright pops of colour and delightful design elements, and is a must-visit for anyone looking to breathe new life into their space.

You won’t find anything ready-made or mass-produced here — SCC Fine Craft Boutique offers genuinely original artwork, skillfully constructed and finished by hand using traditional and time-honoured techniques.

Founded in 1975, the Saskatchewan Craft Council works to raise the profile of local artisans at all stages of their career, fostering a nurturing, diverse, and educational space for artistic development and creative expression. Their organization spotlights the cultural impact of craft: a celebration of the quality, longevity, and unique character of authentic Saskatchewan craft goods.
 

This independent collective of Saskatchewan ceramic artists offers individually thrown, hand built and decorated pieces, ranging from traditional works to contemporary creations. Managed, staffed, and stocked by local potters, Clay Studio Three showcases works from 16 local artisans.

It’s worth a visit for the window displays alone, which rotate bi-weekly to feature the work of an individual artist.
